Mugwort Recipe Roundup

October is perfect for a Mugwort recipe roundup! We’re less than a week away from Halloween and Mugwort fits the festive seasonal bill. It’s well-known in folklore as an aid for divination, vivid dreams, and protection. Mugwort has many other uses though! It’s great for digestion, women’s health, and as a nervine. Chinese medicine uses the smoke for moxabustion in acupuncture. Mugwort is also popular in Japanese cooking, where it’s known as yomogi. It can be used in cooking similar to how you would use Sage, though you may want to be careful with how much you put in since it has bitter properties!

For a great Monograph on Mugwort, check out Herb Rally. Mugwort is not recommended for use if you’re pregnant or trying to conceive. For even more ideas, check out our Pinterest board.
